OPTIMUM Car Care Products: Brand Review ft. Yvan Lacroix! (PART 1)

OPTIMUM car care products brand review, featuring Yvan Lacroix! (Part 1) Optimum Polymer Technologies is a car care products company based in Tennessee, USA. They produce car detailing products that enhance the beauty and extend the life of automotive surfaces. Optimum Car Care Products were developed by Dr Ghodoussi, an outstanding organic chemist. His research has led to a line of products that are simple to use, give professional results and are safe for customers. Also, OPT works closely with car manufacturers and paint manufacturers to develop the most advanced automotive detailing products on the market.

In this two part series of videos, you’ll learn everything there is to know about Optimum Polymer Technologies (OPT) products and see them in action on a Tesla P85 car. I was lucky to have Yvan Lacroix, the global training director for OPT, come as a guest on the show to teach us the proper way of using each product all while giving us tips and tricks to save time and money while detailing our cars and trucks.

Awesome! I am a big fan of Opt and Rag Co. Hopefully you can do a review of their towels! I’ve never seen power clean used in a foamer like that.

passat vw says:

Hi When wiping your windows with Optiseal is it as good as Aqua Pel.

mfx3 says:

I feel like I forgot how to wash a car after watching this video. I’ll need to re watch it a few more times, and research these products. Great video, great guest!

Milan Jurich says:

Hi Pan … perfect timing for a “rinse less wash” system, especially for those of us who live in a climate that gets too cold over the winter season to use a “traditional wash”.  I purchased an alternate product earlier from a German competitor that appears to have a slicker feel than ONR … perhaps closer to their ONR Wash & Wax product that I’ve tried once so far when it got cold, but I’m still considering using ONR in the future. The rinseless wash works great with warmer water in the bucket and utilizing it also as a pre-spray to help encapsulate the dirt prior to the actual wash with the Big Red Sponge.  Re: the Big Red Sponge … what is Yvan’s recommendation for caring for it between washes as it’s not an inexpensive product?  My guess is that he leaves his in his bucket as he uses it quite frequently in his Global Training role, but for those of us who reach for it less frequently during the winter, suggestions?  Also, I don’t think he mentioned it, but the clay towel should be broken in by aggressively rubbing it onto a glass surface with ONR prior to using it on a painted surface with the wax spray.

Hi Pan! Sorry if I missed this in a link or comment thread already, but can you explain to me how an air compressor is used to power that foamer? I have an iK foamer that I usually pump by hand to disperse power clean but I love the idea of using an air compressor to do the work for me

Kemsingnews Barathan says:

Hi Ivan, I am utterly surprised, You are spreading contaminated wax all over the car and calling it’s been waxed ??? !!!!!

Great first guest Pan, Yvan did an amazing job! I am going to check out their products, they look very interesting and easy to apply and remove. Thanks for the information.

Where can I buy that bucket? Plethora of knowledge from two professionals. Ty

amill1563 says:

Optimum seems easier to use than other products.

JOSH PLAYZ says:

First

Brien Golden says:

I is it still important to rinse the car before adding the ONR? i may or may not have caught on to that lol sorry.

Stephen Hollon Jr says:

Question. I have used Optimum products for YEARS. I do not think there is anything better than the ONR. Now, what do YOU PREFER on Ceramic Coating? I used the Optimum Coating back in 2011-2013. I know they have made changes and improvement since then. Which do YOU PREFER in ceramic coatings?

Ozzcaddy says:

Hi Pan, finally got my hands on some Optimum products in Sydney, Aust.(Optimum Car Was Concentrate, Optimum Foam Wash Pad, Optimum Waffle Drying towel). My question relates to dilution ratio of Optimum Car Wash Concentrate with a foam cannon gun that has a 1litre bottle. The dilution ratio for bucket washing is 15mls to 4litres water. But I am finding different ratios for the foam cannon and has become confusing. What ratio would you suggest to use for a 1 litre bottle foam cannon? Thank you, Stephen.

thebiggman says:

Pan did you incorporate any of these products into your arsanal???

Mr Wonderful says:

Quick question- With the Optimum Spray Gun does it just attach to the bottle 32 ounce you are using?

Dean Cook says:

with the process of washing then claying with polish is this something that only needs doing every once in a while?
this sounds perfect for me as I love to have a clean car but my car is parked 50odd metres away from my house and normal washing isn’t possible with having to rinse (as no jet wash, water or electric. and hassle of the 2 bucket method)
I applied a sealant a few months ago, would it be best to strip it and use optiseal instead?
also I intend on going to a coin op to pre wash using a snow foam pump sprayer then go home and use onr.. would using a different manufacturers snow foam be ok or would using diluted onr in a sprayer be sufficient as a pre wash with a pressure washer? or do ‘opt’ sell a different product which has a high dilution rate which can be used with a hand sprayer?
I live in the uk so all the products are extra expensive over here (not all are available) already paid £40 just for the sponge and that has to come from Europe. so I hope these work well..
thanks

Love Like a Hurricane says:

I thought it was a bad idea to put power clean on glass/window. Per the topic that went over optimum decontamination process

Andrew says:

OPT are my go to detailing products now. Products are easy to use, give good results and are very good value.

Brien Golden says:

A1 content Pan! This was awesome! I learned alot from this segment! Unreal To see the man behind the product!!

Leo Yarbrough says:

Great show Pan (the man) great guest i watch him all the time, do you feel that product is good and money efficent for my moble car wash

Vu Ho says:

Where did you get that bucket holder?

Sherukka says:

I hate you Optimum! I had a lot of soaps I used on my car before and now I’m stuck with just one, namely ONR! 😉
I also use Optimum Car Wax (depending on car color) and Opti Seal (especially winter-time). They are so easy so I won’t have to think about longevity anymore, easy is the keyword!
