For stains I like buncha farmers stain remover and I researched natural laundry scent boosters and found using Epsom salt mixed with a bit of essential oil makes a good scent booster

Would love to know more about the soap nut detergent you’ve made! I wash everything (except for pet stuff) in cold/room temp water so I’d love to find a better way to use the soap nuts.

Brenda Wilkinson says:

So I’ve been trying to search for an answer to this question with no answer. I have to use cloth menstrual pads because disposable ones irritate my skin, and want to switch to soap nuts for my detergent. I’ve been wondering if using soap nut powder in warm water would work for my pads but I’m not sure if it would get all the blood out. Do you think it would work or should I just get something from seventh generation?
